Food Safety Audits

AUDITING

Food businesses with an independent Food Safety Program are required to have a third party Food Safety Audit.  These audits check that businesses are complying with their Food Safety Program, the Food Act and applicable Food Safety Standards.

A Food Safety Audit is conducted by an Auditor approved by the Department of Health in each state. The purpose of the audit is to determine whether the Food Safety Program;

  1. Adequately addresses the hazards associated with the premises' food handing operations and;
  2. Whether the food business is complying with their program.

Food Hygiene Australia’s team of auditors have vast experience in auditing Hospitals,  Aged Care, Child Care Centres, Retail Outlets, Restaurants, Fast Food Outlets, Function Centres, Food Manufacturers, Distributors & Small Business.
All Auditors in our organisation have achieved NFSA Level 4 high risk accreditation, the highest standard of accreditation possible.
